Bowling in Almeria

Played at Cabrera Bowling Club from Wednesday 20th until Sunday 23rd November. The competition attracted a massive entry of 43 pairs from the 4 clubs. in the area.
Reaching the quarterfinal stage on the Saturday, we had 4 pairs from Indalo B.C., 2 pairs from Almeria B.C.  and 2 pairs from the host Club Cabrera.
Rick Wright and Bill Tovey (Indalo) won through to the semi-finals  with Terry Rogers and Joe Pemberton (Almeria), the other semi-final featured Terry Pickers and Dennis Stoyles (Cabrera) playing John Dedman and John Colquhoun (Indalo).
The Almeria pairing won through to the final after a very close encounter, beating Indalo by one shot.
The other semi-final was a convincing win for the Indalo pairing.
In the final, Terry and Joe of Almeria had the game of their  lives, no matter what Indalo did, they bettered it, the game score reflected what was a very good final with good bowling from both sides.
On the day,  the defending champions  would have been a match for any pairings put up against them.
